Captain Adam Smith

About Perfect Limit Hunting Guide Service

Adam Smith, Sr. was a licensed Coast Guard Captain. He had more than 30 years of experience as captain of deep water or inshore fishing vessels. He started his career trawling for cod, haddock, and flounder off the Grand Banks of New Foundland to Georges Banks and Nantucket Shoals; not to mention, the inshore waters of Massachusetts Bay. Over those 30 years, Captain Smith had attained an insightful knowledge of the Atlantic weather patterns during the winter months and experience navigating the rocky coastline of New England. Fishing, trapping, and hunting over the years, Adam had developed an enormous respect for the natural environs, both on the land and on the water.

In 1995, Captain Smith put his combined experience and expertise to becoming an Atlantic sea duck guide and started Perfect Limit. Tragically, in April of 2019, Capt. Smith passed away. Since then, his son Adam Smith, Jr., has taken over Perfect Limit. We miss Capt. Smith's salty banter and smiling face, but continue to provide the same unique New England sea duck hunting experience for hunters, collectors, and taxidermists from all over the country as Capt. Smith did. Perfect Limit’s client list includes hunting enthusiasts from Mexico, Canada, and across the Atlantic, seeking just the right specimen out of the thousands of migratory water fowl that stop to feed along the New England coastline.

Upon request, we will furnish you with an extensive list of references from past hunts, including many of the top taxidermists from across the country.  Testimonials from some of our happy hunters.
